📖 Our Story
Darren McMahon—34 Years Behind the Wrench
Darren grew up around cars. His father was a mechanic, and Darren followed the same path—spending his younger years racing go-karts and learning how engines work from the ground up.
In 2003, he opened Rapid Auto Repair in Goulburn. What started as a one-man operation has grown into the region's largest and most modern workshop—13 full-time staff, the latest diagnostic technology, and over 100 vehicles through the workshop every week.
More recently, Darren and the team took over NRMA Goulburn's roadside assistance and towing contract—adding 3 tow trucks and 4 patrol vehicles to the operation. Rapid Auto Repair is now the only business in the Goulburn region that combines full mechanical workshop services with 24/7 towing and roadside assistance under one roof.
When he's not at the workshop, Darren is restoring cars or exploring Australia with the family caravan.
